Respite care is short term care in such cases where the carer requires a break or is unavailable for any reason. Respite care can last for a week or two although the charges may be higher to cover additional costs in administration.
Some homes have 'respite rooms' specifically for this type of care break while others will only offer the service if there is a vacant room.
