Winton Court is a two storey purpose built Sheltered Housing Scheme, it has 40 individual one bed roomed flats that are provided with home care support services to frail and vulnerable adults by a team of staff. The building is a court not a care home.

It is situated on the outskirts of a housing estate in Winlaton in the Blaydon area of Tyne & Wear. Within the building, there is a hairdressing salon, a newsagents and a restaurant. Churches and other facilities are within easy reach and the service is easy to get to by bus or car. A bus service is available on the main street. The home has large grassed areas to the rear with walkways and sitting areas for service users to use.

There is a large patio area leading from the main lounge. To the front is a car park and all areas are accessible for wheelchairs. The main entrance of the building has automatic doors and both the entrance and the rear of the building have ramped access. There is a lift to take people to and from the first floor. All the necessary facilities are provided including an emergency call system, emergency pendants, lounges, a laundry, an indoor cinema and bathrooms and WC's are generally suitable for service users who live there. The service can provide personal care for older people in their own homes. Nursing care or residential care cannot be provided.
