United Response is a National charity providing an outreach and domiciliary service. The service offers a flexible service of care and support to adults with learning disabilities or mental health issues. It provides a 24-hour service to clients, in their own homes, at college and to access the local community facilities. The outreach and domiciliary service currently provides support for eight people who live in their own homes sometimes with other family members. The main office for this service is based in Gateshead near to a metro station and within reach of Gateshead shopping centre, Gateshead College, and various leisure facilities. The building has a lift and is suitable for wheelchair access it also has disabled facilities. There is a kitchen; drinks machine and snacks are available at a small cost. Externally there is adequate car parking facilities.

The service has developed a Statement of Purpose and a Service User Guide and the latter is in a format accessible to service users. These are comprehensive and inform service users and other interested parties about the service. A copy of the most recent Inspection Report is also available.
