The Truro Internal Home Care Agency (Social Services) employs approx. 75 care staff who work within 7 teams. The home care staff provide personal care, domestic help, shopping for all age groups. Community care assistants are employed as support workers to aid and promote independence and social inclusion within the community. Support and care is provided to approximately 160 service users receiving home care. This service covers the Carrick area of Cornwall and has three satellite venues in Truro, Penryn and Perranporth. The agency does not accept new referrals for children’s’ care under the new arrangements of the Local Authority and therefore will be providing care for adults only. The Social Services Home Care Service does not provide care to private clients.
