North Leeds Community and Respite Service was first registered with the Commission on 31st March 2004. The office is situated near to Thomas Danby college off Roundhay Road. It provides a respite service for carers in the community and support for people with enduring mental health problems. The Agency provides this service for people living in the East and North East PCT areas. The service is provided mainly for service users with Mental Health problems and Dementia. The agency can be accessed during normal opening hours of 8.30am-4.30pm after this an answer machine is available. Staff receive an on call support service at all times whilst they are working. The agency does not operate a twenty-four hour service. The scheme is part of a national voluntary organisation, receiving funding from the local Social Services Department. The cost is free to the service users.
