Thera East Midlands supports 288 people with a learning disability currently working in Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Derby City. Karen Boyce-Dawson is the Managing Director and Helena Frewin is the Service Director.

Thera East Midlands came into being following a Thera Domiciliary Care Services organisational restructure in January 2006. Services were previously provided by two separate Thera Domiciliary Care agencies. The head office is located in Grantham in Lincolnshire. Parking is available outside the head office and the building is physically accessible to people who use the service. Local arrangements are made to provide meeting rooms where there is a need. Although the agency is inspected centrally, there are also local visits carried out in each geographical area. Services are, in the main, provided across a 24-hour period to people who live as tenants in their own homes. The tenancies are managed through Progress Housing Association.

Services are provided to people who primarily have a learning disability and in some cases an associated need. Thera East Midlands charges a range of prices for it’s support, depending on the needs of individuals being supported and the circumstances in which such support is provided. Quoted hourly prices range from the equivalent for £8.50 per hour to £38.00 per hour of support.
