Sunderland Council - Home Care East Division is a domiciliary care service that provides personal care services for adults across Sunderland. It does not provide services for children. The agency’s offices are based within the Council’s Dock Street offices. The agency is split into ‘areas’, which are further divided into small zones. The areas share the boundaries with the electoral wards and also with the Social Services assessment teams. Each area is managed by a supervisor and supported by two senior carers and a team of administration staff. The supervisor receives all referrals from care managers and then allocates the case to care staff, taking into account the skills and experience of the carer. Opening Hours : Monday to Thursday - 8.30am to 5.15pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.45pm.
