Sudeley Home Care provides a personal care service to people who live in their own homes in Sutton Bridge and the surrounding areas such as Sutton St.James, Long Sutton and Wisbech. Mr Ahmed is the owner and his wife takes on the main responsibility for the management of the service. Prior to the completion of this inspection the commission learned and it was confirmed that there had been changes to the office arrangements which are now located temporarily at Wisbech although the owner and his wife confirmed that it is intended to move the agency office to premises in Holbeach.

Currently 8 care staff are employed to provide care and support for 38 service users, mainly those who have needs associated with those of older persons, but some who have physical disabilities. The leaflet produced by Sudeley Home Care says, ‘Sudeley Home Care offers help in the following ways, personal care, washing and bathing, putting to bed and getting up’. Some other domestic services, such as shopping and cleaning, are also available. The current charge for the service,ranges from £11.15 to £15.45 per hour. There is an additional charge for cleaning of £10.00 per hour.
