St. Helens Reablement Service is a jointly funded agency that provides an immediate care service for people aged 55 years and over. The service provides a residential element and a domiciliary care element for up to 6–8 weeks. It is part of the St. Helens Reablement and Rapid Response Service which, following reorganisation, has incorporated the latter into the one organisation. This report is only in respect of the domiciliary care element, of which the registered manager is Mr. Barry Harrison. The service is multidisciplinary and includes occupational therapy, physiotherapy, care managers, pharmacist and nursing staff as well as support workers.
