Murtagh Diamond Domiciliary Care Service is one of three area based domiciliary care agencies owned and run by South Tyneside Council’s Social Care and Health Directorate. The team provides assistance with personal care, domestic help and general support to approximately 110 adults living in the South Shields area. It also offers specialist flexible at-home support to people with dementia needs through its ‘Diamond Care’ service. The charge of the service varies dependent on individual financial assessment however the unit cost for general support is £8.50 and for personal care £10.50 per hour.
