Gerald Street Home Care Service is one of three area based domiciliary care agencies owned and run by South Tyneside Council’s Social Care and Health Directorate. The team provides assistance with personal care, domestic help and general support to approximately 178 adults living in the South Shields area. The office base is located in the same premises as Gerald Street Older Persons home, however it is managed and operated separately. The charge of the service varies dependent on individual financial assessment the basic charge for general support is £8.50 and for personal care £10.50 per hour.
