Somerset Care at Home in Minehead is registered as a domiciliary care agency and has been registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) to provide personal care to people in their own homes. This is a branch of the Somerset Care organisation. A range of services are managed by the agency. Most service users receive personal care or personal care combined with domestic assistance. Some service users have complex care needs resulting in several visits per day, others may receive a weekly visit. Premises are secure and contain all facilities and equipment necessary for the running of the business. An additional large room is used for training and meetings. The agency is classed as a ‘large agency’.

At the moment it provides a service for approximately 436 service users with 120 care workers available to provide Somerset Care at Home Ltd. There are 4 staff performing administrative duties. Care is provided to a range of service users, including older people, younger adults and a small number of children in families. Somerset Care has had Investors in People status since 1992.
