The Gloucestershire branch of Somerset Care at Home has recently been registered under the Care Standards Act 2000. The Agency’s office is situated outside Stonehouse and provides care to people throughout Gloucestershire. The agency is able to provide personal care tasks and assistance with other activities of living to people over the age of 18 years. Comprehensive information is available for people about the services they provide and in formats to include Braille, large print and audiotape. As at January 2008, private charges range from £8.70 (half an hour) to £15.60 (an hour). Bank holidays are extra and night duties are available. People funded through the Local Authority have a financial assessment carried out in accordance with Fair Access to Care Services procedures. Local Authority or Primary Care Trust charges are determined by individual need and circumstances.
