Overview

The Smithfield Services incorporates five elements of service provision: Alcohol Detox; Drug Detox; Floating Support; Supported Housing; and the Northern Quarter Project, for clients over the age of 18yrs. The service provides mixed accommodation with 24hr care for 22 clients on the alcohol detox unit and 10 clients on the drug detox unit.

Alcohol detoxification is generally based on a 10-day programme. The drug detoxification service is based on a 28-day programme and some clients are admitted to the drug detoxification unit for a 14-day stabilisation period.. This service is aimed at getting these clients into treatment.
