Shropshire Crossroads specialise in providing respite for carers and as such work with a wide range of people with disabilities and illnesses. Shropshire Crossroads is a member branch scheme of the Association of Crossroads Schemes and works within a national framework of policies and procedures. In addition support, advice and guidance are available from the Association on all areas of operational activity. There are over 200 branch schemes and projects across England and Wales and Crossroads has over 28 years experience of developing and delivering services to carers and people with care needs. The Scheme is governed by a local board of Trustees who are volunteers. The manager is responsible for the overall operation of the service. Quality assurance within the organisation takes the form of bi annual surveys and the scheme has its own internal quality assurance process called CROQUET. There is no direct charge for the service.
