SPDNS Nurse Care provides a wide range of domiciliary care to both adults and children and young people within the community. They have a number of specialist services, which include care to both adults and children with life limiting illnesses and for families who are in crisis. The organisation works in partnership with both Fair Havens and St Luke’s Hospices to provide Hospice at home for service users with terminal illness and their families. The Registered Manager for the adult service is Nicola Sweeny and she has experience in providing domiciliary care.

SPDNS also run a registered Nursing Agency which is inspected and reported on separately from the Domiciliary Care Agency featured in this report. SPDNS are in the process of registered a second Domiciliary Care Agency which will specialise in services for children. SPDNS Nurse Care has an office within the Southend area. This office has sufficient facilities and equipment to assist in the efficient and effective delivery of homecare. The office is open between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm and at other times there is an out of hours service to support both staff and service users.
