South Gloucestershire Council Home Care Service is registered to provide personal care to adults who are living in their own home. The agency is currently in the process of down sizing and working towards delivering a smaller and more specialist service to people in the South Gloucestershire area. The agency no longer provides people solely with practical help (household tasks & meals on wheels). The four teams now consist of the Start Team (care for up to six weeks), the long-term Personal Care Teams (North and South) and the Dementia Team.

Over the next few months the personal care teams will reduce further and provide services for intensive support only. Each team has a manager; co-ordinators, administrative staff and a team of home care support workers. There are also three senior care workers who work across all four teams. The overall registered manager is Ms Diane Longley. At the time of the inspection SGC Home Care was supporting 315 service users and employed approximately 160 staff. - Send Email
