If you are getting funds from your local trust for you’re your care home fees they should inform you that how long they will continue to pay your fees. Till the time you are in hospital and your benefits are not affecting you are also expected to continue to pay your contribution of your care home fees. If you are paying complete of your care home fees at your own, your care home will tell you how they will charge you during your hospital stays.
Effect on benefits
If you live in home and go into the hospital f you live in a home and you go into hospital, you should contact the office that normally pays your Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Attendance Allowance (AA). Payment of DLA or AA can normally continue if you are in hospital for less than 28 days but this is not the case if you go into hospital from a home and payment of DLA or AA has already stopped.
