LWPT Homes has been developed from the former Local Preachers Mutual Aid Association and what follows is a description of the LPMA services. Details for the LWPT are broadly similar but more widely drawn and serious enquirers are urged to contact the National Office at the address below. LWPT is a voluntary sector not-for-profit provider of care homes for elderly people.

LPMA Homes was founded in 1949 by the Methodist Local Preachers Mutual Aid Association to provide residential care for elderly Methodist Local Preachers and their dependents. The Society enjoys charity status.

LWPT Homes aims to provide

* An excellent quality of life;
* At a price that represents good value for the high quality of care and accommodation provided;
* Christian family values in the life of the home, with daily prayers and regular celebrations of Holy Communion.
