Age Concern Southwark Home Care Service was established in April 1995. The service aims to ensure that people aged 60 and over who need assistance to live independently at home are provided with a quality service that reflects their individual needs and preferences. The service provides personal care and practical support.

Age Concern Southwark (ACS) Home Care includes a specialist project set up in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Relief. The service is called the ACS Macmillan Palliative Care Service and supports people who are living with cancer by providing personal and practical care to enable them to remain at home. Service users are given a copy of the service user guide as part of the information pack about Age Concern Southwark. The service user guide is available in a range of languages and in large print, on tape or in Braille. The information pack states that a copy of the statement of purpose may be requested from Age Concern Southwark either directly from their office, or through their care worker.

The hourly charges for the service are as follows :
* Funding through Social Services £14.41 - £14.75;
* NHS (Band 1) Macmillan £18.78.

Privately Funded service users are charged :
* Social Care £12.80;
* Personal Care £13.99;
* Direct Payments £14.55;
* Macmillan Service £18.78.
